PS3 / XBOX 360 reflow motherboard support 3 jig set

PS3 / XBOX 360 reflow motherboard support 3 jig set

PS3 / XBOX 360 reflow motherboard support 3 jig set

Fits xbox 360, PS3 40gb, 60gb and 80gb

You too can now use the same motherboard jigs as we use ourselves. In our workshop this jig is used in conjunction with the NASA approved ZT-7 reflow centre for working on motherboards. Also suitable for Jovy reflow machines and other brands. Be wary of other companies selling inferior jigs. Only buy from companies that use them for their own repairs. Ours, we designed ourselves!!

These jigs will prevent board flex whilst reflowing or reballing! Board flex is the number 1 cause of failed repairs, so it is essential that you lock down the motherboard.

Because there are two PS3 motherboards, you will need two jigs, which we supply in this kit. You will also get the XBOX 360 jig which can be used on all XBOXs except the slim

Reflowing, reballing or fixing xbox motherboards is not easy and requires a steady and secure mounting system. Whilst pcb holders and clamps may work sometimes, they are not reliable. The problem with most systems available currently is that they dont prevent board flex. These metal jigs support the motherboard in many places, ensuring that there is no flexing during heating.

What you get

  1. Three, high quality 3mm thick aluminium metal support jigs for the 2 different PS3 motherboard types and the XBOX 360.
  2. Jig support bolts
  3. Support bolt nuts

How do they arrive

Flat packed. All you need to do is to connect up the jig support bolts to the jig and you are ready to go. After that, each time you wish to connect a motherboard just align the motherboard holes over the bolts, then fasten the nuts.

How do they work

Once you have fastened your motherboard, you will need to position your board under a heat source. The holes in the jig are to enable a preheater to be able to operate under the motherboard and to provide access.

Please note that your support jigs may have marks on them. This is as a result of the manufacturing process and will not affect operation.

REFLOW TRAINING COURSEFor all those looking to repair motherboards for games consoles, you will learn the basics of how to reflow a motherboard and the chips on the boards. Your training day will include how to dismantle your console, how to prepare the motherboard and will include hands on training of how to reflow your motherboard and eliminate some of the common faults, i.e. 3 flashing light problems, E74 errors, PS3 yellow light of death.  All participants will leave with knowledge on how to carry out these repairs in their premises using reflow stations such as the Jovy 7500 and Zephytronics ZT7. Contact us to find out more. Dates of courses will be available once we have enough candidates. Course costs are approximately £250 per day per candidate but will depend on the number of candidates attending. Please send us an email if you wish to enquire about our courses.
